Van Lanschot Kempen becomes principal member of the European Payments Initiative

Van Lanschot Kempen has become a principal member of the European Payments Initiative (EPI). Through this partnership, the wealth manager will introduce Wero, a European digital payment solution, to its clients via the Van Lanschot Kempen digital banking environment, with rollout planned for late 2026.

Wero enables Van Lanschot Kempen clients to pay across Europe directly from their banking environment. The solution is designed to offer a standardised European alternative for digital payments, with a focus on security, convenience and interoperability, while enabling additional payment options over time. 

By joining EPI, Van Lanschot Kempen aims to further enhance its digital offering and respond to increasing demand from clients for seamless cross-border payment solutions within Europe.
