Van Lanschot Kempen's climate policy wins awards

During the 2017 CDP Europe Awards in Brussels, Van Lanschot Kempen received the 'A award' from climate organization CDP (formerly known as the Carbon Disclosure Project). With this award - the highest achievable - CDP acknowledges the progressive nature of Van Lanschot Kempen's climate policy.

Urgent Climate change is one of the most pressing challenges of our time. Therefore, both governments and companies are expected to prioritize this issue. Van Lanschot Kempen aims to make a significant contribution in this regard.

Climate-neutral economy Van Lanschot Kempen has been committed to achieving a climate-neutral economy for years. The company measures and, where possible, reduces its own carbon emissions. Additionally, it implements explicit climate policies for investments, actively engaging with companies on their emissions. Within wealth management and advisory services, clients have the opportunity to invest in funds that actively combat climate change.

Climate policy CDP annually surveys thousands of listed companies worldwide about their climate policies and achieved results. All collected information is verified by CDP and made available to institutional investors and financial institutions affiliated with CDP. These entities can then use this information in their investment processes. For investors, companies that proactively address climate risks or opportunities are more appealing than those without a climate policy.
