Van Lanschot Kempen Becomes Partner of the Grachtenfestival
Van Lanschot Kempen has committed as a corporate partner to the Netherlands' largest classical music festival, the Grachtenfestival, for four years. With this, we contribute to the development of young talent and young professionals in classical music and jazz, up to the age of 35.
Richard Bruens, member of the Board of Directors of Van Lanschot Kempen: "As a wealth manager, we are dedicated to creating value, not just financially but also socially. We always have an eye on the next generations. With this partnership, we support not only the development of talents but also make the festival's free neighbourhood concerts possible."
Marie-Luce de Bree, director of the Grachtenfestival: "The Grachtenfestival is proud to have Van Lanschot Kempen as a partner. With this support, the Grachtenfestival can offer young musicians a unique stage and platform to excel and present themselves to a large audience."
About the Grachtenfestival
"Since its first (four-day) edition in 1998, the festival has grown into an independent ten-day event, centred around the discovery of musical talent and the (growing) city and metropolitan region of Amsterdam.
The festival's vision builds on the achievements of the past twenty-five years, its own signature and DNA, and societal trends and developments. Our strength is scouting, selecting, challenging, and programming talented young musicians and facilitating a stage that fits their development. In doing so, we build a broad network and help launch illustrious careers.
As a metropolitan organisation, we aim to be at the heart of society. Our varied stage should reflect the city's diversity. We want to be welcoming to the different musical genres on stage and to the audience for whom we play. Everyone should feel welcome to participate. In this way, we can make an impact on the musicians and the musical field, but also facilitate the creation of encounters between people; on and off the stage."
The Grachtenfestival this year is from 12 to 21 August 2022. For the programme, please visit grachtenfestival.nl
