Arjan Huisman to step down as a member of the Management Board of Van Lanschot Kempen in May 2026
Van Lanschot Kempen today announced that Arjan Huisman, member of the Management Board and Chief Operating Officer (COO), has indicated that he will not be available for a next term of appointment. Accordingly, he will step down following the Annual General Meeting in May 2026.
Appointed to the Management Board in May 2010, Arjan Huisman is responsible for digitalisation, IT infrastructure, client administration, client monitoring and data management and analytics. He also serves as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Van Lanschot Kempen Switzerland. During his time at Van Lanschot Kempen, he has rebuilt and professionalised the IT organisation and made an important contribution to the strategic reorientation the company undertook in the past years, including the integration of several acquisitions.
Frans Blom, Chair of the Supervisory Board: “Over the last 15 years, Arjan has played a significant role in shaping Van Lanschot Kempen into a specialised independent wealth manager in a rapidly changing financial industry. He has driven our focus on innovation and on streamlining processes, allowing the organisation to continue growing. Precisely thanks to the steps we are taking in digitalisation and technology, we are able to continue providing our clients with the most personalised service. Furthermore, he has built strong teams offering opportunities for growth, for instance in the field of AI, which continue to attract international talent. With his analytical perspective, Arjan brings clarity and depth to every discussion. I would like to thank him sincerely for his dedication and vision.”
Arjan Huisman: “Van Lanschot Kempen has experienced strong growth in recent years. This is largely due to the dedication, energy and willingness of all colleagues – from IT to our bankers – to embrace innovation and new ways of working, always with the ambition to continually improve our service to clients. Winning three FT/PWM Wealth Tech Awards in 2025 is wonderful recognition for our teams and our innovation-driven approach. I am proud to have contributed to this for more than 15 years. However, life is too short not to explore new paths once in a while. That is why next year, with some sadness, I will say farewell to an outstanding, skilled, and deeply committed group of colleagues. Until then, I will continue to devote my full energy to Van Lanschot Kempen.”
The procedure to appoint a successor has started.
